Chinese herbal medicine refers to the medicinal part of medicinal plants and animals, which is formed by primary processing after harvesting. The Measures for the Supervision and Administration of the Quarantine of Imported and Exported Chinese Medicinal Materials put forward customs supervision requirements for plant-derived Chinese herbal medicines and animal-derived Chinese herbal medicines. China implements designated port management for the import of Chinese herbal medicines, and Chinese herbal medicines shall be imported from the drug import ports approved by the State Council or the border ports for the import of medicinal materials.
